Bassac Cruises

Over view
Bassac Cruises I; II, III will take you into the greener areas of the Mekong delta, overnight on the river and into the middle of the life about the river. The Mystic Sampans take you to the floating market with a breakfast, or to a daytime excursion.
We offer a truly authentic discovery of the Mekong delta and a cruise in comfort.Without compromising on your comfort, be it accommodation or cuisine, you will be able to get a glimpse of the tremendous activity of the floating markets, of the peaceful life in the countryside and of the bountiful nature in the delta, earning it to be called the rice bowl of Vietnam.
Our crew are discreet and caring, and their professionalism translates into simple and personalized attention. The visits we offer are typically strolls into the real delta landscape, as far away as possible from the touristic areas.

The Cabin

The Bassac I

The Bassac I is entirely built of wood, from the hull of an 80-foot-long rice barge. She can accommodate up to 12 passengers in six nicely decorated cabins, each with air-con and a private bathroom, and features a 100 sqft restaurant that opens all around, a large galley, a small office room and 700 sqft of sundeck. The Bassac I can take her passengers on cruises up to seven days without stopping, and offers a great flexibility in programming your journey. She also is so powerful and has such a shallow draft as to be able to cruise upstream the Mekong or bring you to your destination regardless of the season, the tide or the current.

Dining & Bar

Be it in our restaurants, Sao Hom and Nam Bo in Can Tho, on the Mystic sampans or on board the Bassac, cuisine is one of our better assets, as we offer meals cooked and baked afresh including the bread and pastry for breakfast. As the Bassac have their own galley, they are very reactive to meet the needs and tastes of your passengers, even in case a surprise cake would be de rigueur.

Testimonials

We have no hesitation in recommending Vietnam Sinhcafe Travel to anyone who intend to spend a holiday in Vietnam . Their staff and there were so many of them were very friendly and helpful. My family and I were very happy with the services provided by Mr. Hung with a package tour 18 days from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. They were very attentive, informative and clearly knew their work well. We will definitely recommend your tours to our friends in future!
